Where has the time gone?

OMGoodness! It's hard to believe that it is almost the middle of June already. I wish I had some great incredible reason as to why I have been MIA for so long....but unfortunately, I don't. Just the everyday hustle and bustle of life. My love came home and all things I did while he was gone seemed to be put on the back burner. I'm ready to get back to the things I did while he was away. Especially since we are getting ready to start the work-ups for yet another deployment. So here is to making/finding time to get back to my blogging. I plan to start back regularly after all my trips but that won't be till sometime in July so until then I will be doing a few short post and pics... But right now, I am off to the movies to go see Rio with family!  AND Here is just a random pic I love!

Is sex work?

A U.S.Marine Colonel was about to start the morning briefing

to his staff. While waiting for the coffee machine to finish brewing,

the colonel decided to pose a question to all assembled. He explained

that his wife had been a bit frisky the night before and he failed to get his usual amount of sound sleep. He posed the question of just how much of sex was "work" and how much of it was "pleasure?"

A Major chimed in with 75%-25% in favor of work.

A Captain said it was 50%-50%.

A lieutenant responded with 25%-75% in favor of pleasure,

depending upon his state of inebriation at the time.

There being no consensus, the colonel turned to the PFC who

was in charge of making the coffee and asked for HIS opinion?

Without any hesitation, the young PFC responded, "Sir, it has

to be 100% pleasure.

The colonel was surprised and as you might guess, asked why?

"Well, sir, if there was any work involved, the officers would have me doing it for them."

The room fell silent.

We are complete!

We did it.  The kids and I survived this deployment.  Daddy is home and we are in heaven.  I'm gonna make this short and sweet since my love is sitting right here on the couch and giving me the come hither eyes.  Oh, how I missed those eyes.  His smile too.  Here are just a few pics from our homecoming in no particular order.  My little family is complete...at least for now ;)!

I seen his face!

I seen it...Finally after 41/2 months I was able to see his face.  It was a one time thing, but it was incredible.  I guess they(I have no idea who they is) brought out some computers to set up for one day only so that the guys could access yahoo messenger and skype.  I actually thought that my love was only gonna be able to see me, but I was shocked when his face popped up on the screen too.  OMGoodness, he was absolutely precious.  Precious does not even describe it.  His smile...ahhh, it gets me everytime and those baby blues are to die for.  That man is the love of my life.  I cannot wait till the moment I can wrap my arms around him again.  Until then, I will continue to dream about it.... SIGH!

Sooo...

I don't have a countdown ticker or a DOM(Doughnut of Misery).  However I have no shame in getting excited when I see some of my fellow mil spouses post up the percentage of time left.  As of a few days ago, we have hit 39% to go.  OMGoodness, I can't believe it.  Where has the time gone?  I never could have imagined that time would have flown by this fast.  It honestly seems like just yesterday I was crying my eyes out in the car on the way home after watching my love pull away on that darn Coach America (or whichever bus it was).  Although I still have a little while to go before my love will be in my arms again, I am already starting to get the nervous jitters in my belly just thinking about it.  We are on the downhill stretch of this deployment and I pray that it will continue to fly by.

Keepin the tradition

Football season has finally come.  It is one of my favorite times of the year.  I have not always been a football fan though.  My love is the one that got me hooked, so of course I took his favorite team and made it my favorite team.  With my love being deployed and having to miss the entire football season, I MUST keep up all his silly traditons on every game day.  Starting with the FSU mug on entertainment center in front of the tv (and check out that score in the background).

There must always be the FSU blanket on the floor (sorry it is backwards).

Notice again the mug on the tv.  My love would be in heaven if that blanket really was the rug (sorry hun, never gonna happen in my living room)!

I of course could not let the koozie (sp?) go unused all season long.  I had to keep up with ALL the traditions minus the beer...how do you like that glass of ice water in my koozie?  After a while I did fill the koozie with something better!

My diet Dr. Pepper that is...I'm not a beer drinker at all so that is one tradition I will be doing without this football season.  I think I am doing a pretty good job keeping up the things my love would be doing if he were here.  I'm even sporting the FSU t-shirt.

Even though it is not the same watching the games without him, I love that I am able to tell him details about the game if he calls and ask.  I am recording all the games on my DVR as a back up, but my mom is recording them on her computer to put onto a disc to be able to send over there to him.  I really hopes he likes his suprise!  I love you papa bear!!
