The other day, Ky and I were watching some show on TV about a walrus! I was actually not watching because I was busy painting my toe nails, but I was listening. Anyhow, I wasn't really intrigued so I tried to change the channel. Ky did not like that. Whatever bud, you can watch it and I went back to painting my toe nails!
A little while later, prob something like 30 min I was looking for my fingernail file. Ky is always stealing it so of course I yell for him. He pops up from behind the couch scaring the bejeezes out of me. This is a little bit of how the conversation went.
Me: Ky, have you seen my finger nail file.
Ky: Nope
Me: Are you sure, you always play with it when I have it out.
Ky: What's a finger nail file?
Me: You know, the long black thing that I use on my finger nails.
Ky: Oh, you mean this walrus! ( of course pulling the nail file from behind his back)
Me: Oh really, you have a walrus there.
Ky: Yep, it's my turning walrus!
Me: A turning walrus? I haven't ever heard of a turning walrus. What is a turning walrus?
Ky: You know mom, a walrus that turns into a batman weapon!
That boy never ceases to amaze me. I absolutely love his imagination. He continued to play with my nail file for about an hour longer. It was hilarious to watch. One minute he would be on his knees next to the couch acting as if the walrus was swimming. Then, he would start to turn the nail file in a circle until BAM.............a batman weapon! He had me cracking up. I will have to post later about some of my favorite stories from my daughter when she was 4! Something about that age in my kids turns them into pure comedians! There is hardly ever a dull moment in this house! Then again, is there ever when kids are involved?
